First degree Reiki classes are usually taught over a weekend or over three or four consecutive evenings. Most of my classes are weekend workshops, beginning Friday evening and ending Sunday afternoon. The introductory portion of Friday evening's session is offered free of charge. Those participants wishing to continue and take the remainder of the class are invited to stay for the first initiation. Please note that the classes at East-West College of the Healing Arts do not meet on Friday night and are longer sessions on Saturday and Sunday. There is no free introduction offered at East-West classes. The fee for the first degree class is $200 (East-West classes are $250 - same content).

In this class you will receive four initiations, learn the history of Reiki, the basic hand positions for use in treating yourself and others, and through hands-on practice, experience the gifts Reiki brings to those who give and receive this energy. Upon completion of the class you will also receive a certificate and a booklet.

Second degree Reiki is offered to students who are drawn to go deeper into this tradition. In this class the Reiki symbols are given and students are taught how to use them to focus the energy, do distance healing, and treat mental and emotional conditions. The fee for the second degree class is $500.

I offer a free Reiki circle at my office on the second Monday of the month at 7 PM. This is a good opportunity for Reiki students to get together and share treatments and discuss aspects of Reiki. Drop in sometime! Reiki circle is open to anyone who has attended a Reiki class in person.
